My name is Zarah, and I’m the silly gal running this (slightly chaotic, but always magical) show. I’m a tatted-up, punk rock princess from a small town; raised on road trips, rock shows and late night ice cream runs. I first learned photography on a Canon Rebel while helping create my high school yearbook, but my passion for photos started much earlier than that. My mom could not keep a disposable camera around for more than a day when I was a kid! She would frustratedly, develop photos of our cars, pets and my toys weekly. When you love something, you capture it for eternity into a photo - that's just what you did(and still do)!
I’ve always been an explorer — of places, people, and connection. Even after thirteen years of capturing moments and documenting the lives of truly incredible humans, I still get a rush every time I document a special moment. My heart beats for the wild, the weird, and the wonderful couples who want their love story told in a way that’s more than just a trendy highlight reel.
I want your experience to be about so much more than “getting pictures taken.” It should be about documenting the way your grandma squeezes your hand before the ceremony, the ridiculous dance moves at the reception, and the quiet moments in between that mean the most. Thanks for hanging around and wanting to get to know me better! Here’s the quick rundown: I’m an animal lover, motorcycle rider, road trip junkie, concert goer, and self-proclaimed sweet treat and Diet Coke enthusiast.
I’m married to my husband, Coty; he’s the one who taught me how to ride motorcycles. When I’m not photographing cool people's love stories and he’s not building his race truck, we’re usually off on some kind of adventure. A couple of my favorites? Hiking my way down the west coast from Oregon to Los Angeles, and riding our bikes through upstate New York.
A Peek Into My Life
At home, our little family includes four “kids”: three cats and one chinchilla.
(Yes, the cat distribution system absolutely picked us — and we couldn’t be more grateful.)
Some of my favorite bands are Stick to Your Guns, Bilmuri, Neck Deep, Blue October
As for TV? I’ll forever be loyal to The X-Files, with Bob’s Burgers as a very close second. (Fair warning: Bob’s Burgers memes will pop up in my IG stories from time to time.)
